We took a ferry from Hakodate to Aomori, and naturally the ferry had
plenty of vending machines as well. Not only that, there was even a little
canteen with microwave ovens and food vending machines.

Aomori is famous for apples, so they made and apple (juice) vending
machine.

And finally, we found an ISEKI coin operated rice polishing machine. Back
then, I thought it was just a vending machine that would dispense rice,
but now that I translated more of the signs it's obviously just for
polishing rice that you bring with yourself. Still, it's pretty
interesting, there are a number of options so you can polish your rice
